1. Be Respectful and Kind
Our community thrives on mutual respect. We expect all members to:

- ✓Be patient and understanding
- ✓Give people the benefit of the doubt
- ✓Communicate clearly and politely
- ✓Respect boundaries when someone says no
- ✓Use appropriate language and tone
Don't
- ✗Harass, bully, or intimidate other members
- ✗Send unsolicited explicit content or messages
- ✗Make discriminatory or hateful comments
- ✗Engage in name-calling or personal attacks
- ✗Pressure others for personal information or meetings
- ✗Use offensive, vulgar, or abusive language
Remember: Everyone is here looking for connection. A simple "No, thank you" or choosing not to respond is acceptable — respect that decision and move on.
2. Be Authentic and Honest
Authenticity is the foundation of meaningful connections:
Do
- ✓Use recent, accurate photos of yourself
- ✓Provide truthful information in your profile
- ✓Be honest about your intentions and relationship goals
- ✓Represent yourself accurately
- ✓Update your profile if circumstances change
- ✓Be genuine in your conversations
Don't
- ✗Use photos of other people, celebrities, or AI-generated images
- ✗Lie about your age, location, or relationship status
- ✗Create multiple accounts or fake profiles
- ✗Catfish or impersonate others
- ✗Misrepresent your appearance, profession, or lifestyle
- ✗Use heavily filtered or deceptive photos
Profile Photos: Your photos should clearly show your face and accurately represent how you look now. Your main photo should be just you.
3. Keep It Appropriate
Maintain appropriate standards for the platform:
Do
- ✓Share content appropriate for a public dating platform
- ✓Keep conversations respectful and tasteful
- ✓Use profile photos that are suitable
- ✓Express yourself in a considerate manner
- ✓Keep intimate content private until mutual consent
Don't
- ✗Post nudity or sexually explicit content
- ✗Share graphic violence or disturbing imagery
- ✗Send unsolicited sexual messages or content
- ✗Post content involving minors in any way
- ✗Share pornographic material
- ✗Use sexually suggestive or explicit usernames
4. Protect Your Safety and Privacy
Your safety is our top priority:
Personal Information
Do
- ✓Keep personal details private until you trust someone
- ✓Use WAM's messaging system initially
- ✓Meet in public places for first dates
- ✓Tell a friend or family member about your plans
- ✓Trust your instincts
- ✓Report suspicious behaviour immediately
Don't
- ✗Share your home address, workplace, or full name early
- ✗Give out financial information to anyone
- ✗Send money to other members, ever
- ✗Share intimate photos or videos
- ✗Click on suspicious links sent by other members
- ✗Meet in private or isolated locations initially
Red Flags to Watch For
Requests for money, gift cards, or financial assistance
Pressure to move conversations off the platform quickly
Inconsistent stories or refusal to video chat
Claims of emergencies or sob stories
Excessive flattery or declarations of love very quickly
Reluctance to meet in person or always cancelling plans
5. No Spam or Commercial Activity
WAM is for personal connections, not business promotion:
Do
- ✓Focus on building genuine personal connections
- ✓Share information about yourself naturally
- ✓Engage in authentic conversations
Don't
- ✗Advertise products, services, or businesses
- ✗Promote websites, apps, or social media accounts
- ✗Recruit for MLMs, pyramid schemes, or "opportunities"
- ✗Send spam or mass messages
- ✗Solicit for escort services or sex work
- ✗Use the platform for commercial purposes
6. Respect Intellectual Property
- Don't use copyrighted photos, music, or content without permission
- Only post photos of yourself or photos you have rights to
- Don't screenshot or share others' private messages
- Respect others' privacy and intellectual property
- Don't impersonate brands, celebrities, or public figures
7. One Person, One Account
- Create only one account per person
- Don't create accounts on behalf of others
- Don't share your account with others
- If you need a new account, contact us to close your old one
- Don't use automated tools, bots, or scripts
8. Legal and Prohibited Activities
The following are strictly prohibited and may result in legal action:
Any illegal activity or discussion of illegal activities
Solicitation of prostitution or sex work
Drug sales or promotion of illegal substances
Threats of violence or harm to others
Stalking, doxxing, or harassment
Fraud, scams, or identity theft
Hacking or attempting to breach security
Distribution of malware or viruses
Child exploitation or endangerment in any form
Hate speech or incitement to violence
Zero Tolerance Policy
Violations of these prohibited activities will result in immediate account termination and may be reported to law enforcement authorities.
9. Reporting and Enforcement
We rely on our community to help maintain a safe environment:
How to Report
- Use the "Report" button on any profile or message
- Provide specific details about the violation
- Block the user to prevent further contact
- Save evidence (screenshots) if possible
- Contact safety@wam.au for urgent matters
Consequences for Violations
Minor Violations
First-time minor violations may result in a warning and content removal
Moderate Violations
Repeated or moderate violations result in temporary suspension (7–30 days)
Serious Violations
Serious violations result in permanent account termination
Criminal Activity
Illegal activity is reported to law enforcement and results in an immediate ban
10. Account Suspension and Appeals
- You'll receive an email explaining the reason for suspension
- You may appeal within 30 days by contacting appeals@wam.au
- Include your account details and explanation
- Appeals are reviewed by a different team member
- Decisions on serious violations are final
- Creating new accounts after termination is prohibited
