- Payment Information: Billing details processed securely through PayPal, transaction history

- Device Information: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers
- Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, time spent, search queries
- Location Data: Approximate location based on IP, or precise location if you grant permission

1.3 Information from Third Parties
- Social Media: If you sign up via Google or similar, we receive basic profile information
- Identity Verification: Information from verification services to confirm identity and age

3. How We Share Your Information
3.1 With Other Users
Your profile (photos, bio, preferences) is visible to other members. Messages you send are visible to recipients. You control what appears on your profile.
3.2 Service Providers
- Payment Processing: PayPal (for secure payment processing)
- Cloud Hosting: Supabase and Vercel (for data storage and serving)
- Analytics: Google Analytics (for usage insights)
- Email Services: Resend (for transactional and marketing emails)
- SMS: Telnyx (for phone verification)
These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the services they provide.
3.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information in response to court orders, law enforcement requests, or to protect against fraud or illegal activity.
3.4 Business Transfers
If we merge with or are acquired by another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.

4.1 Access and Correction

- Most information is removed within 30 days of deletion

- Opt out of marketing emails by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email
- Manage notification preferences in your account settings
4.4 Complaints

5. Data Security
5.1 Technical Safeguards
- Encryption: All data in transit is encrypted using SSL/TLS
- Secure Storage: Personal information stored on secure servers with restricted access
- Password Protection: Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms (Supabase Auth)
- Payment Security: We never store complete payment details — all processed through PayPal
5.2 Your Responsibility
- Choose a strong, unique password
- Never share your login credentials
- Log out after use on shared devices
- Report suspicious activity immediately
Note: No security system is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
- Active Accounts: Profile and usage data retained while your account is active
- Deleted Accounts: Most information deleted within 30 days
- Legal Requirements: Transaction records and abuse reports may be retained for up to 7 years
- Backups: Information may persist in backup systems for up to 90 days
- Aggregated Data: De-identified, aggregated data may be retained indefinitely for analytics
7. International Data Transfers
WAM operates primarily in Australia. Some service providers may be located overseas (e.g., US-based cloud hosting). We ensure overseas recipients are subject to privacy protections substantially similar to the Australian Privacy Principles.
8. Children's Privacy
Our Service is strictly for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we discover such information has been collected, we will delete it immediately.
9. California & European Privacy Rights
9.1 CCPA (California)
California residents have the right to know what data we collect, request deletion, and opt out of data "sale" (we do not sell personal information). Contact privacy@wam.au to exercise these rights.
9.2 GDPR (European Economic Area)
EEA users have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Contact privacy@wam.au to exercise these rights.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be notified via email or prominent notice on the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
